A kind act in Paris

I arrived here last night from the airport, and a lovely lady (who adamantly said she wasn’t from Paris, but from Bordeaux) helped me from the bus station to the Metro. She then gave me a metro ticket and wouldn’t take money for it.

Such small acts of kindness mean so much when one’s a little lost in a big city.

Granted, I have a biased view of the French since the ones I’ve met on the street have always been helpful, and the ones I know personally cook and dress well.  But I just wanted to thank the woman out there for making my day that bit more sweet.

This website also inspires you to be kind when you can – the acts of kindness were offered after Hurricane Sandy. It definitely inspired me when I found it a few months ago.
