Hand-crafted beer spiced with local herbs, lovingly produced in pure Greenlandic water.

If you’re a beer lover, then you might be surprised to know that Greenland has two microbreweries: one in Ilulissat and the largest in Nuuk. I talked to Andreas, the microbrewer slash tour operator of Ice Cap Tours in this article on Greenland.com.

PS I have just been on a work field trip up north Greenland on the noble cruise ship Fram, hence the lack of communication – very very limited internet! You’ll hear about that story soon…

  1. I am actually not a beer drinker at all. In fact, I don’t drink at all 😀 However, in general I prefer ordering “hand-made” drinks over anything that comes pre-packed in a bottle or can. You never really know what you’re getting that way. Hope the world trip went well 🙂

  2. That is a really interesting article. I wouldn’t have guessed that Greenland would be beer brewing or even a beer drinking environment for most of the year. It looks like just my kind of beer; full, flat, dark and smooth!
